Industrial Epoxy: Quick Answer

Industrial epoxy floors cost $9–$16.50 per sq ft for quartz broadcast systems and $9.50–$11.50 for solid color builds. Price depends on thickness, chemicals, joint repair and how much old coating has to come off.

Industrial slabs come with history: oil, old line paint, failed sealers, spalled joints. We grind deeper, repair joints and spalls, and choose a build for the load. Forklift aisles get a thicker system. Kitchens and breweries get quartz for grip and a topcoat for hot water and cleaners. Auto shops get resistance to oil and brake fluid.

What Can Raise or Lower Your Quote

Prep: the other half of the price

The system sets the per-foot range; the slab decides where you land in it. We price these after we see the slab, so a bare, sound floor is quoted at the low end and you only pay for prep you actually need.

  • Grinding off an old coating, sealer or paint
  • Removing carpet glue, tile mastic or mat adhesive
  • Advanced crack and spall repair
  • Demolishing an existing floor before coating
  • Moisture mitigation on a slab that reads damp
  • Extra labor for tight access, oil-soaked concrete or heavy cleanup

How It Goes In

  1. Moisture test and walk-through: we read the slab and mark cracks before anything starts.
  2. Diamond grinding: opens the concrete so the coating can bite. No acid etching.
  3. Dust control: HEPA vacuums pull the grinding dust as we go.
  4. Repairs: cracks, pits and spalls filled and ground flush.
  5. Basecoat: moisture-tolerant epoxy or pigmented polyaspartic, picked for your slab.
  6. Broadcast: flake or quartz thrown until the basecoat is covered, or a metallic pour.
  7. Scrape and vacuum: loose chips come off so the surface is even.
  8. Topcoat: clear polyaspartic rated for hot tires and sun.

Industrial Epoxy FAQ

Can epoxy take forklift traffic?

Yes, with a thicker build and repaired joints.

What is a quartz broadcast floor?

Colored quartz sand broadcast into the basecoat and sealed. It is very hard-wearing and gives grip.

Do you work in the South Bay industrial areas?

Yes: El Segundo, Hawthorne, Inglewood and Torrance are all in our area.

What prep work can add to an epoxy floor quote?

Prep is the other half of the price. Grinding off an old coating or paint, removing carpet or tile glue, advanced crack and spall repair, tearing out an existing floor, moisture mitigation on a damp slab, and extra labor for tight access or heavy cleanup all add time and material. We price these after seeing the slab, so a bare, sound slab is quoted at the low end.
